duo, LNJ Music entered the Australian music

scene with soulful inspiration. Laurette and James

are hands on performance artists who hope to

engage and inspire their audience to want more in

life as conveyed by their debut single ‘My Very

Moment’. As independent vocalists, writers,

producers and artists, Laurette and James work under APRA Music Australia. Laurette

and James are inspired by musical influences like Nico and Vinz, Jennifer Hudson and

Lauryn Hill. They are, at large inspired by their mother, the multicultural and supportive

community and by the struggles and joys of life.

They first broke into the mainstream stage with their first single ‘Set Up Your Mind’ in

2010. Produced by Johnny Juliano and distributed by the popular label, Def Jam Records,

the duo wrote the single to raise awareness about racial issues. Since 2010, Laurette and

James have performed at the Brisbane Launch Festival, Brisbane’s Laneway Gig: Story

Bridge, Africa Day, the Woodford Folk Festival and various other Cultural Festivals.

They have also performed at Miss African Australian, Queensland Theatre Company’s ‘I

Am Here’ and as supporting acts for touring African Artists. Most recently, the duo

launched their debut single ‘My Very Moment’ and released the video on Vevo and
